I was doing a little virtual shopping recently over at one of my favorite magazines, Architectural Digest and came across a few items that I had to share. Sit back and enjoy, maybe you will see something you fancy. I have one or two on my wish list….HINT: Fortuny Fabric.

These are just a few of my picks. If you wish to see more, be sure to visit Architectural Digest. I hope you have a very lovely weekend, doing whatever, shopping, relaxing, catching up on some reading or just chilling. Out my way, it is the ANNUAL SWALLOW’S DAY PARADE. San Juan Capistrano is the host of this BIG EVENT and this is the 57th year celebrating the return of the swallows to Mission San Juan Capistrano. The day kicks off at 6 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at the Women’s Club of San Juan Capistrano. At 10:00 a.m., the pre-parade festivities start and at 11:00 a.m., the parade kicks off. We have many fond memories of this event, as my hubby was a very active participant with all three of my now grown children, marching in the parade with the Y-Princess and Y-Guide Program (a program affiliated  with the YMCA, that provides many wonderful Father/Daughter and Father/Son activities). This isn’t the only BIG EVENT on the calendar though………even BIGGER, is my grandson’s 2nd birthday party. He will be starting his celebration at the local petting zoo…..and this is another memorable place for our family in San Juan Capistrano. This petting zoo, was once known as the Jones Family Petting Farm and each of my children grew up experiencing this wonderful place, from guided pony rides, to birthday events. Now, the original family has retired and since sold the petting zoo to a wonderful woman who has taken it beyond what it was 20+ years ago. Today, it is known as Zoomar’s Petting Zoo. It still has all the fabulous memories of so many years ago, with the “horsey-rides”, the goats, the sheep, the Emu’s, the corral with all the “little critters” (guinea pigs, bunnies and such) that we happily feed with the “purchased food” (it is a business after all). But, now, there is a choo-choo train to ride on, a “gold-mining” adventure, a corn-filled play-pen for kids to jump in to their hearts’ delight. Needless to say, it has definitely evolved from where it was when we took my Lindsay, Neal and Melissa there. Now, my Lindsay is a momma and we are coming full circle with my grandson, Jackson. It is such fun to see him enjoy some of the same places that his “momma” grew up with. We’ll be hangin’ at the Grandparents’ house (mu-wah) afterwards, grillin’ and chillin’ with family, friends and our very adorable grandson!

Happy Weekend

From Me to You, xoxo,
